The Discover Nature Award is only possible thanks to the commitment of organisations that believe in helping young adults find their place in nature restoration.
Borders Forest Trust has been instrumental, helping us fund our pilot phase and continuing to provide invaluable staff expertise and access to the Wild Heart sites, the living classrooms that make our hands on climate action possible.
As we expand, Highlander Outdoors is supporting our participants with essential outdoor gear, while Rewilding Britain is working to dismantle barriers linked to travel and awareness, ensuring more young adults can take part.
This crucial support, along with future partnerships, ensures the Discover Nature Award remains free and fully accessible to those who need it most.

“We’re now seeking funding to deliver a full year of DNA sessions in 2026 for 100 young adults, pilot our immersive Discover Nature Camp, formalise our youth steering group, and support DNA graduates to begin volunteering on DNA events in their local communities and with Borders Forest Trust.
The co-design and ethos of upskilling the community during the pilot is already showing amazing results. We’re all super keen to give the DNA a full delivery year so we can keep designing this incredible programme together and helping young adults find their place in nature, the environmental sector and our community
